The Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists of Newfoundland and Labrador “Dr. Ian McMaster Scholarship” in the amount of $1,000.00 will be awarded to a student who is a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador and who meets the following criteria, in the order of precedence shown:
- Is enrolled in an Applied Science/Engineering Technology program that is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC), or accepted by AETTNL as leading to membership in the association;
- Must either be a student member of AETTNL or have applied for a student membership with all applicable fees paid.
After meeting the above criteria, selection will be based (in order of precedence shown) on: high academic achievement, specifically the highest total of all marks on the final transcript of the year’s work; involvement in extracurricular activities; and community or volunteer service.
The deadline for applications is the close of business of the AETTNL office on October 4, 2019. The successful applicant will be announced at the AETTNL Annual General Meeting.
