2025/26 Council Nominations!
AETTNL is currently seeking nominations from Certified Members for positions on Council for the upcoming membership year. Members interested in becoming more involved within the profession and helping shape the future direction of the association are encouraged to submit a nomination prior to the August 24, 2026 deadline.
General Council Positions (3)
AETTNL Council meets approximately five to six times annually and offers members the opportunity to contribute to important discussions and initiatives that support engineering technicians and technologists throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. The estimated time commitment for General Council members is approximately 10–15 hours per year. There are currently three (3) General Council positions available for election.
President Elect
In addition to General Council positions, AETTNL is also seeking nominations for the role of President-Elect. The President-Elect serves as part of the Executive Committee and works more closely with the President and office staff on association matters at both the provincial and national level. This position carries an estimated commitment of 40–50 hours annually.
Serving on Council provides members with a valuable opportunity to:
– Share professional knowledge and expertise
– Gain leadership and volunteer experience
– Learn more about the profession and association governance
– Support advocacy, outreach, and industry initiatives
– Help influence the future of the profession
Council volunteers may assist with meetings, industry events, public relations activities, member engagement, and outreach initiatives throughout the year. Members who serve on Council are recognized for their leadership, professionalism, and commitment to advancing the profession.
Members interested in running for a position are asked to forward a nomination letter directly to AETTNL by email at aettnl@aettnl.com no later than August 24, 2026. Please indicate the position you are seeking within your submission. Nomination letters will be shared with membership by email and posted on the AETTNL website.
Election results will be announced at the 58th Annual General Meeting on October 24, 2026.
