The Infrastructure Support Department is responsible for the operations, maintenance and renovation of existing space, provision of new space and capital infrastructure expenditures for Eastern Health. The Facility Support Coordinator is a multi-role position that supports the functions of the Department by reviewing plans and specifications submitted by consultants to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance and design requirements. This position is accountable for planning, scheduling, directing, implementation of and evaluating the regional Computer Assisted Facilities Management (CAFM) system and coordinating the Work Request Centre within the St. John’s region. The Facility Support Coordinator will assume a Project Manager role for assigned projects, responsible for providing design/project management expertise as it applies to new construction, renovation of existing space and maintenance of facilities. This position works collaboratively to identify and address health and safety issues with respect to departmental operations, monitors expenditures on assigned projects and other related duties as assigned.
Diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited program supplemented by a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
Designation of Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) or Real Property Administrator (RPA) from the Building Owners and Managers Institute of Canada is considered an asset.
Minimum of five years of facility management experience within the last seven is required.
Experience in a lead Project Management role.
Experience in facilities maintenance/management in a health care setting is considered an asset.
Previous experience with AutoCad is considered an asset.

A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
